Terms and Conditions
It is best to plan a couple of weeks in advance to obtain services on the dates you desire. An in-home consultation is required, prior to reservations, for all new clients. While we can tentatively pencil in your dates, we must meet you and your pet(s) and assess your needs before we can make a commitment to provide care for your pet(s). 

Please be sure to complete the online client and pet profiles. 

You agree to pay your balance in full each week by the first visit. Our weeks run Monday thru Sunday. 

We may take occasionally use the photos of your pet(s) for the company website and our social media accounts.
Pursuant to the laws of the State of CT you agree that your pet may be videotaped, photographed, and audio recorded. Your 4 Legged Pet Service shall retain the exclusive rights to the results and all proceeds of such tapings, photographs, and recordings with the rights throughout the world, and unlimited number of times in perpetuity, to copyright, to use and to license to others in any manner.
If you do not wish to participate in the above, please place within the notes of your profile that you do not wish to participate.
 
Keys 
Your 4 Legged Pet Service will obtain 2 copies of your house key during the initial consultation. We require that the key remain on file with Your 4 Legged Pet Service for convenience in future uses of our services. If you are unable to make copies due to your apartment building's guidelines, we will make other arrangements to service you. If you request that we do not hold keys, there is a $10 fee for pick up and drop off of keys.
 
Holiday seasons are hectic for everyone - make your reservations early! 
Holidays are as follows: 
New Year's Eve, New Year's Day, Easter, Memorial Day, Fourth of July, Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, and Christmas Day. 
There will be a 25% non-refundable deposit of the total bill due upon reservation for services during the holiday periods. Holiday periods are the week prior and the week after the exact holiday. 
 
Extended Absence 
In the event you must be away longer than planned it is mandatory that we hear from you! Your pets' well-being depends on your communication! 
 
Inclement Weather 
Primarily severe storms, hurricanes, snow/ice conditions etc. You will entrust Your 4 Legged Pet Service to use best judgment in caring for your pets(s) and home if we are servicing you at the time of inclement weather. Your 4 Legged Pet Service will try to follow your instructions to the best of Your 4 Legged Pet Service's ability. The care we provide to our customer's pets and their safety is our first concern. The inclement weather plan will be as follows: 1) Every effort will be made to get to your home; 2) The service schedule may be changed, interrupted, or altered due to circumstances; 3) If is not possible to get safely to your home, your emergency contact will be notified, 4) You will be notified that the above-mentioned contingency plan has been activated.
 
Unplanned fees 
There will be a $20.00 surcharge as well as reimbursement if we must restock depleted supplies – it is your responsibility to provide more than adequate amounts of food, litter, medications, flea products, and any other items needed for complete care of your pets. 
 
Cancellations 
Vacation Policy:
Cancellations may be made up to 5 days in advance of your scheduled service. Any deposits made during non-holiday periods will be credited to your account. If canceling less than 5 days prior to the first day of your scheduled service period, the fees will be as follows:
    25% of the total service fee will be charged during non-holiday periods.
    50% of the total service fee will be charged during holiday periods.
If you arrive home early from vacation, you have the right to decide if you wish Your 4 Legged Pet Service to continue to care for your pets or not, but you understand that FULL payment is still due as Your 4 Legged Pet Service has reserved this time slot to care for your pets.

Daily Plan Policy:
Five days' notice will receive full credit for the day
Four days' notice will receive a 50% credit for the day
Less than four days' notice will not receive a credit for the day
 
 
Payments: Cash, checks, and credit cards are accepted.  
Returned checks: The client agrees to pay a $40 fee for each check returned by the client's bank regardless of the reason
Unpaid invoices: If your invoice becomes 15 days overdue a 5% service fee for each invoice will be accrued.
